Archive
Here the guide's articles are arranged by the year they were prepared and labelled with their main topic. The archive helps you see what the guide already covers and find a page you have read before, even if you have forgotten its title. The topics are the same as in the feed: tools, walls and fixings, doors and furniture, water and plumbing, and safety. If you remember what an article was about, search by topic; if you remember when you read it, search by date.
The archive holds only what has already been published and can be opened. Drafts and promises do not belong here.
How we keep the archive: an entry appears once a page has been published and is available to readers. The date shows when it was prepared, the topic shows the article's main question. If a page is substantially revised, we update the existing entry rather than adding a new one, so the archive has no duplicates. There is nothing here from the former website, and anything still in preparation will appear once it is published. The editors take readers' suggestions for new topics into account when planning the catalogue. Every entry leads to a live page of the guide, so the archive also works as a table of contents: from the first-year tool kit to the fixings glossary and the answers about working safely. If you cannot find an entry here, check the feed of new articles or the guide sections.

The domain's former address
Before this guide, a different website ran on this domain. Vipvnn is not connected with it and does not carry over any of its content. The old home page address still turns up in external links, so it now opens a checklist on how to start a home workshop. The former website's other addresses are not part of the guide and will not be restored. If you arrived via such a link looking for something about small repairs, take a look at the guide sections or the answers to common questions.

The advice in this guide describes the general approach as of the date the article was prepared. Every home has its own walls, plumbing and furniture, and every tool and fixing comes with its own instructions: where they differ from our text, follow the instructions.
